The Exceptional City of Niamey witnessed a lot of changes throughout the history of Niger unlike some countries that still hold the vernacular identity of the place. As a country located in West Africa, it has a very challenging climate so a very wide research has to be done to solve all the faced climatic problems. The NGO focusing on Islamic education highlighted a lack of schools in the area and especially Islamic schools within the major muslim community of Niamey. A quantative research was done to identify the users of the facility, Interviews was done by the NGO in Niamey to know what the people actually need and based on the results the NGO, Unitary and Hand Over came out with a program that responds to the people needs. The project’s main objective is to create a center for religious and primary education. Spirituality and islamic teachings are the core drivers of the design. The center includes educational facilities where students can learn about their faith, the main language of Islam, Arabic and practice islamic teachings. Also, there will be workshops where the Sahabba community can learn crafts and trading as a source of income , and a clinic that will provide healthcare services to the community. As the project is located in the outskirts of Niamey, most students will need a place to host them during their studies, hence the project includes dormitories for boys, girls and faculty. Finally, the Sahabba Mosque is the spiritual heart of the project where the inside and outside muslim community can perform prayer in a serene space.
