A multi-purpose unit that will be used to hold workshops, retreats or public events, an open market where the local craftsmen and talented women could sell their own products to the visitors of the space. It will also include a herbs garden, attached to it there will be a cafeteria to serve the visitors and other facilities to ease the stay of the visitors. One of the main objectives of this project is to create a space that fits the nature there, creates a dialogue between local community and outsiders and fulfill the pressing needs of the locals. The building has only been in operation for less than a month but the impact is already tangible. People were in desperate need of medical services and there were hundreds of people lining up on the first day where the clinic started operation. In terms of the techniques, the impact could also be sensed once anyone enters the building. Because we tried to outsource most of the materials used from site, we were able to cut the cost of the project budget and because we have only hired local builders, we were able to invest also in the people by giving them a working opportunity and by teaching them a new technique and skill that they are currently using.
